We had a fabulous week and I would highly recommend Haverigg as a quiet base from which to visit the Lake District and have empty sandy beaches literally on the doorstep. 0ur dogs were in their element... The cottage was adequate for our needs but more of an air bandb standard than a cottage company, it needs some love and attention for the peeling paint and peeling wallpaper. No major problems just not the standard that I expected. It was our first time at Beverley Cottage so I'm not sure if this is typical of the standard of other properties.
It would also be helpful to give holiday makers an ideal what to do with refuse, we asked the neighbours in the end and sorted and took to the local recycling collection centre.

Hi Vicki, many thanks for taking the time to leave your comments - I've passed the information on to the maintenance team. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed such a fabulous week!

We enjoyed our stay at Beverley Cottage which is very comfortable and well equipped. The only item we could have done with was a bath mat. The house is literally just across the road from the shore where at low tide there is a long expanse of sand. It's less than an hour's drive to the southern lakes but also good walking in Haverigg/Millom area. There is a good village shop a few minutes walk away and also a farm shop selling locally grown veg.

I'm so pleased you had such a lovely stay Isobel. The coastline there is fantastic! I'll pass your feedback about a bathmat onto the owner. Apart from that, here's to happy holidays!
