The single divan bed could really benefit from a new mattress or at least a mattress topper I had to sleep on a duvet so as not to feel the mattress springs. When my dog brushed against the skirting boards he ended up with cob webs on him.The tv remote control was grubby (basic covid touch point). Overall lovely cottage.

Hi Julie, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I'm sorry to hear that some of the cleanliness wasn't up to scratch. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I'll make sure it's addressed with the cleaners.Thank you for your other feedback too, we'll look into everything you've highlighted. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

Newcomers to this area we booked the cottage to ensure our 5 year old grand-daughter got a holiday this year after missing out last year. We were surprised and delighted by Beverley Cottage and Haverigg. The cottage was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The location opposite the huge blue flag beach and small children's playground was brilliant. The beach was great for kite flying and sandcastles but a shame the tide went out so far distant. Haverigg was a quiet uncommercialised place which reminded us of holiday places in the 50's. We all liked it's unspoilt nature very much. Haverigg was also convenient for trips to other attractions and Beverley cottage provided a quiet comfortable place to return to. Only a few negatives :- we felt the fridge freezer was a little small for a family - the side lights in the two small bed-rooms were inadequate- we couldn't find instructions for TV or info re recycling- nice chairs and table outside but patio needs to be bigger for 4 to sit round comfortably. Overall it was great and exceeded expectations. We hope to return next summer to explore the area further.

We picked Beverley cottage because of its seclusion and lack of local amenities. The owner has put a lot of thought into what families want on holiday including hundreds of games for rainy days. If you cherish peace and quiet go here.
