Lovely cottage, equipped with everything we needed for our short break. Spotlessly clean, lovely bed and bathhroom and lovely a host. Would highly recommend this accomodation. Billy the dog gave is a lovely well one every day as well.

Lets do the negatives 1st...The cottage has no washing machine,freezer,iron/board or radio..so shop/pack accordingly...if your're not bothered about any of these read on..!..This is a lovely cottage attached to the main farm house..Don't be put off by that otherwise you're missing a little gem of a place.Altho it's situated on a working farm,it's very quiet.There is pretty much all you need at the cottage and susan (the owner..she's lovely) is nearly always on hand to give you ideas for a day out. You'll get daily visits from "billy" the dog who is very friendly. Have fun!!?

Couple
Pluses - very comfortable bed, good space for 2 people, chair and settee comfortable, good parking, proximity to amenities at Cockermouth. Friendly owners.
Minuses - no freezer and very small fridge, no change of towels and no means of washing them, fan in bathroom does not work, extractor fan dirty, water pressure in shower is poor, no details of places to visit or recommended places to eat. Further away from the main Lake District area than we expected.
On balance recommended and decent value for money but some things to address. Watch out for wet weather too !

Hello, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I really appreciate your feedback. I've spoken to the owners and that whilst they don't advertise the cottage as having a freezer, the fridge is a full-sized one, they do, in fact change the towels every seven days and will make sure that the information folder is placed in a more obvious position for future guests. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
