Beach Cottage is a beautifully refurbished property right on the estuary near Ravenglass, which can be reached by footpath in ten minutes. With uninterrupted views across the coast, this self catering cottage is perfect for a relaxing break with friends and family. The upstairs bedrooms have original beams throughout and wonderful original floorboards dating back to the 1850's. The interior has been decorated and finished to a high standard with all the modern conveniences you would expect plus a few extra touches like an ipod docking station.
Ravenglass has a fascinating history from Romans to smugglers. Visit the remains of the Roman Bath House, cycle Hadrian's Cycle Way, ride on the Ratty or sample the local hospitality at one of the several pubs in the village. If you fancy a change from the quiet delights of the village and estuary, then hop on the Ratty or take a short drive north towards the grand Lakeland fells of Wasdale and Eskdale.
Beach Cottage overlooks the tidal estuary, the ideal place for a sunset stroll over to Ravenglass with sand dunes dunes and a wealth of bird life. Ravenglass is the only coastal village in the Lake District National Park and this peaceful area offers a refreshing alternative to the hustle and bustle of the more popular Lake District destinations.
