The Barn (Longsleddale)
The Barn is a traditional barn conversion on a working farm in the heart of Longsleddale. The Barn sleeps 4/5 people in 3 bedrooms and enjoys uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. There is a double and two single bedrooms with an additional z-bed for an extra person.
The Barn is perfect for a secluded, relaxing break being located half a mile along a private track. The River Sprint flows through the farm and fishing can be arranged by the owner. In the autumn you can watch the spectacle of leaping salmon and trout in the river.
At the head of the valley you can climb the Haweswater fells including High Street and Harter Fell. Kendal is 20 minutes away by car. The town is considered to be the southern gateway to the Lake District and the guide book writer Alfred Wainwright wrote his Pictorial Guides whilst living in Kendal. Kendal offers varied shopping and a fantastic arts centre showing everything from comedy to films and exhibitions.
