"It is very beautiful here and clean. Had a wonderful week, weather sunny & warm all week. Swam in lakes twice - something I strongly recommend for any keen swimmers. There is nowhere else I know where you can experience cool refreshing water and mountains on either side."
"We've had a lovely week here. Enjoyed the wildlife & feeding the birds. We've done lots of sketching of the local scenery and taken plenty of photos. Recommended: two mile walk up to Castlehead - lovely views of Derwentwater. Also recommended: The Star of Siam Thai Restaurant in Keswick town centre."
"We've had a great week. The cottage is lovely, with splendid views. It has been a good base for walks etc. We have climbed Blencathra and Dodds. Also had days to Penrith, Carlisle, Keswick, Grasmere, Hawkshead. Hope to come again."
"First time in this cottage which is really lovely. We have had a superb week out walking every day - including Helvellyn, Great Gable and Coniston Old Man, then into Keswick for our evening meal. If you can get into the Bank Tavern, the food is really good and reasonably priced. Can't think of a better place to base ourselves. We'll be back next year!"
"Arrived to a lovely cottage. Views great from every window. Clean, very comfortable and homely. Weather very wet mostly with a few dry days, but that didn't keep us in too long. Good base to explore surrounding areas. Enjoyed lots of walking especially Catbells and the many lakes around this area."
