A warm welcome to Ann's Cottage, a charming place for 4 people to enjoy a holiday in this beautiful part of The Lakes.
Dating back to the 1750s, you'll find charming characterful features throughout this welcoming home-from-home. Head into the spacious dining kitchen and you'll see original beams and exposed brickwork. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday: there's an electric oven and hob, full size fridge-freezer, handy microwave and useful washing machine. Gather round the wooden dining table, the perfect place to compare notes on your day's adventures. Also on the ground floor are the two bedrooms. The lovely master bedroom has a double bed, bedside table, wardrobe and a useful desk - no excuse not to write a postcard or two! The double bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. As well as the WC and washbasin, there's also a bath with shower over so all tastes are catered for; indulge in a long soak in the tub or reinvigorate tired muscles in the shower. The second bedroom is a delightful twin room, for storage there's a wardrobe and handy chest of drawers complete with dressing table mirror. A separate shower room, with WC and double shower cubicle, completes the ground floor.
Head up the stairs to the first floor where you'll find the lovely living room. Gaze out of the window at the stunning views and you'll quickly realise why the owners have decided to have the living room up here! Enjoy a peaceful moment looking towards the stunning Skiddaw range. If you can tear your eyes away from the view, the bright living room is ideal for relaxing with a good book and for entertainment there's a Freeview TV with DVD player.
Outside is an enclosed lawned garden. With outdoor furniture, it's the perfect place for that first morning cuppa or refreshing evening G&T (if you'd rather someone else made the drinks, there's a bar in the Castle Inn just over the road or the popular Sun Inn is about a mile away in the heart of Bassenthwaite village); dine al fresco or just sit back and enjoy a few moments calm in this pretty garden. Secure bike storage can also be made available in the owner's lockable garage if you fancy exploring the area on 2 wheels.
