Abigail’s View is a comfortable apartment, within a traditional Lakeland slate building, in the centre of Grasmere, with wonderful fells views from every room. The entrance is via an external mahogany staircase leading up from the car park. The front door reveals a delightful open plan living, kitchen and dining area, with an original slate wall, overlooking the pretty River Rothay and the Fairfield range of fells. The living area has a comfortable, leather sofa, Freesat TV, and a DVD player. The beautiful oak kitchen is fully equipped with integrated appliances: dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven with induction hob and a microwave.
The spacious Easedale bedroom is an absolute delight, having a tall ceiling and being drenched with natural light from the marvellous wooden sash windows. It has a king sized bed with a stylish leather headboard, oak dressing table and chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, Freeview TV and a hairdryer. The gorgeous bedroom chairs are positioned by the windows, ideal for observing the bustling village green and beyond to Easedale and Silver How. The en suite bathroom has a powerful, rose head shower over the bath and a retractable washing line.
The Rothay bedroom has a tall ceiling, large sash window, twin beds, oak dressing table and wardrobe, Freeview TV and a hairdryer. The spacious en suite bathroom has a powerful, rose head shower over the bath and a retractable washing line. There are rooftop views to Stone Arthur, part of the Fairfield Horseshoe.
A few steps lead to a landing that links the living area with the bedrooms. This is furnished with a Welsh Dresser, containing plenty of maps, books and games. The landing and bedrooms have luxurious woollen carpets sourced from traditional Lakeland, Herdwick sheep, a tenacious and clever breed, championed by Beatrix Potter.
