Hi Jill, thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your second stay as much as the first, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

A lovely little village and perfectly nice property although not much in the village except a pub but lots accessible easily by car. Unfortunately the cottage is very dated inside, it was absolutely freezing had a mountain of mail behind the door and dead wood lice in every room, it was clear it had not been opened up or used for some time.

Hi Laura, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad you enjoyed your break. It's a lovely place to escape from the hustle and bustle for a while isn't it? The cottage is furnished traditionally and is not a super modern decor. The village has a post office and newsagent as well as a general store and village pub which serves food - pretty good amenities for a small village. In addition there are beautiful canal walks and high vista walks on Farlton Fell, I hope you discovered them. I've asked the cleaner to remove junk mail before visitors are due to arrive. Unfortunately our efforts to get the post office to refrain from posting junk mail has not been successful. I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.
