'Residents Only' spaces on the cobbled area opposite the house are available on a first-come-first-served basis. You can also park outside the church if there is space available. Otherwise unpack your car and then continue past the church and The Orange Tree pub where there is on-street parking available on Fairbank.

General Description

Entering the property through the side door, you step into a large entrance hall and cloakroom. A small toilet room with washbasin offers additional convenience, and there is plenty of space for storing outdoor gear and shoes, with a clothes rail available for drying wet clothing too. A huge range of maps, walking guides and visitor information is filed in here, giving you plenty of useful resources for planning your adventures during your stay.

A small step up leads you into the main house where you'll find yourself in the good-sized dual aspect lounge offering a view onto the delightful little street at the front and the pretty churchyard to the side. Two comfortable sofas sit around a wall-mounted TV/DVD and a coal-effect gas fire with tiled hearth. A packed bookcase houses a vast array of books, music and DVDs, with a hi-fi available too. As well as the cosy seating area, there is a table and chairs perfect for playing one of the many board games provided. And the little ones haven't been forgotten either; there is a selection of jigsaws, books and games hidden away upstairs to keep them entertained.

An open stairway leads down to the spacious, well-lit basement kitchen, which offers the perfect place to entertain or enjoy family meals together around the six-seater dining table. There is ample space for the avid cook to prepare a feast and the kitchen is very well-equipped so we're sure you'll find everything you'd ever need for your stay, including a selection of the owner's favourite cookbooks for inspiration. The kitchen appliances include a washing machine, dishwasher, under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, electric hob, double electric oven, microwave, toaster and kettle.

Back in the lounge and the second set of stairs lead the way up to the first floor where a king size bedroom overlooks the front of the house. Large built-in pine wardrobes and dressing table provides plenty of storage and hides a good selection of additional blankets and hot water bottles for snuggling up on those extra cold winter's nights. Further along the landing, the pleasant family bathroom has a bath for relaxing and a separate shower enclosure with electric shower. A rail over the radiator provides somewhere for drying towels.

Along from the bathroom, another flight of stairs takes you to the top of the house where you'll find an additional two bedrooms. As with the first floor, the double room at the front of the house has a bright and relaxed style and is completed with simple warm furnishings and decorative touches. Lovely traditional-looking cupboard and drawers provide ample storage, and a wall-mounted exposed hanging rail makes the best use of the space. The final bedroom, a twin, looks over the large trees of the churchyard to the side of the property. Similar storage is provided in this room, and there is a small washbasin in the corner.

As is the norm with this style of property in Kirkby Lonsdale, there is no private parking. However, on-street parking opportunities are available close-by. The property has no private outside space.
