This beautifully furnished one bedroom apartment is perfect for a couple looking to relax and enjoy the delights of the Lake District all year-round. Harney Peak was formerly a hotel but was converted into the stylish group of apartments that exist now. Number 7 sits on the ground floor with a private entrance and adjacent allocated parking, so is easily accessible. The apartment is bright and welcoming, with every little detail considered in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The apartment is located in the lovely lakeland village of Portinscale with the popular market town of Keswick an easy 1-mile walk away. It is perfectly placed for walkers, being nestled among the mountains of Borrowdale and the Newlands Valley, with Skiddaw also nearby. You can leave the car and head out exploring on foot. For those keen to get out onto the lake, there are two marinas within walking distance, both offering hire and tuition. You can also catch the Keswick Launch at Nichol End Marina and can then hop off at any one of the eight jetties dotted around Derwentwater.
Portinscale itself is a charming village and there are plenty of options for eating and drinking out on the door step. The Farmers Arms pub is well loved by locals. The Chalet Tearooms and Restaurant is just across from Harney Peak, offering delicious daytime meals. Also within a short walk is Lingholm Kitchen within the Lingholm Estate and the cafe at Nichol End Marina.
