7 Colby Lane is a quirky one bedroom cottage in Appleby ideal for a couple, single occupant or a family with young children seeking a cosy self catering base in which to explore the stunning Eden Valley and the nearby classic walking country of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The cottage welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs.
Entry to the cottage is from Colby Lane via a small vestibule and into the kitchen diner. The kitchen is a good size with pine furnishings providing a traditional feel. The kitchen contains an electric oven, electric and gas hobs, a microwave, dishwasher and fridge and is well stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment. The freezer and washing machine are located in the utility room. A dining table to seat six people makes for a pleasant social area.
Up seven stairs is the good sized living room, a cosy space containing a large two seater sofabed, a luxurious day bed, gas 'log' fire and basic Sky TV and DVD player. The WC and utility room are accessed off the living room.
Up another small set of stairs is the double bedroom. This is a really cosy room with an en-suite bathroom containing a walk in shower and WC, but taller guests should watch out for those low ceiling beams! Ample storage is available in the built in wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The conservatory is appended to the living room and contains a two seater wicker sofa and matching wicker chair. It opens on to a decked and paved patio and gravelled yard, in which there is a garden table, four chairs and parasol. A lockable shed is available in which to store bikes and a BBQ is also provided. The yard is fully enclosed, making it suitable for children and dogs. Half of the yard is available for parking up to two cars.
