7 Brackenrigg Drive is a comfortable semi-detached cottage for up to four people, perfectly situated for making the most of all the amenities of the much-loved Lakeland town of Keswick. It is a ground floor bungalow on a quiet residential street with some wonderful views. The house has been well thought through to provide a welcoming base from which to explore this lovely area.
On arrival at the house there are two steps up to the property with a handrail for those with mobility issues. Guests enter via a spacious glass porch with plenty of hooks for coats and space for muddy boots and shoes. Through from here is the main hallway and firstly the living room. This is a great place to relax with two deep comfy sofas arranged around an electric stove-style fire and a television with Freeview. There's also a handy foldaway dining table for four placed in the bay window.
Moving through to the kitchen you'll get a gorgeous view over Keswick's rooftops to the fells in the distance. A perfect place to do the washing up and get inspired for your fell walks! The kitchen is equipped with a freestanding cooker with double oven and four ceramic hobs, microwave, an under-counter fridge, freezer and washing machine as well as all the crockery and cookware you'll need for your stay. The kitchen also has a breakfast bar with two high stools for making the most of the views or just for sociable food prep.
Back through the hallway to the bedrooms and shower room. The comfortable double room has a charming metal bedstead, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a lovely view over the rooftops to the fells. The spacious twin room looks out to the front of the house and has a wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage as well as a dresser where you can find a choice of books and games thoughtfully left by the owner. The modern shower room has been refurbished to a high standard with a vanity unit and a large walk-in shower enclosure with a mixer shower. Perfect for reviving tired fell walking muscles.
Outside the house, the garden has a charming landscaped area to the front with a raised gravel terrace. To the rear there is a lovely garden benefitting from afternoon and evening sun with a lawn and patio, just the spot for a sunny evening glass of wine. (The rear garden is down six steps but has a handrail for those with mobility issues).
