Lovely cottage superb location and views. A couple of issues re garden as needs pruning to allow you to take in the views when sitting out and a few slabs or a path along the front to the front door would be useful.

We had a great holiday. We have stayed in Glenridding before and love its setting and the local amenities including access to Ullswater. The cottage is in a lovely location, if you don’t mind a walk down into Glenridding. The cottage is well equipped, although a garden bench would be a great addition and a washing machine would be helpful. It didn’t bother us, but some people may find the kitchen and bathroom at the cottage quite dated. If you go to the Lake District to spend your time out and about, this cottage makes a very good base.

Excellent holiday and cottage. The views from the front bedroom and living room were without doubt, very special. Depending on the weather, the view would change, so it was exciting each morning to see what would greet you. Also the birds in the garden were very entertaining. We would recommend bringing binoculars . The cottage was perfect for 4. We had our 2 grown up daughters with us, and though only I bathroom, we managed perfectly. The toilet seat was rather wobbly though, and requires attention. Cooking facilities were ample, and the dishwasher was a bonus.
The climb to the cottage is steep, so would not recommend for the elderly. There are a few steps as well. The directions from Sally’s cottages was very helpful and made finding cottage easier. We did come the Kirkstone Pass route , but the weather was good. Wouldn’t recommend otherwise .
The walks from the cottage are plentiful and beautiful and if you are courageous enough to do Striding Edge, it’s on your doorstep, relatively speaking!
Would highly recommend a stay here.
