4 Miller Bridge is a charming and well appointed apartment for two in a beautiful Victorian manor house set in its own grounds along a quiet lane in Ambleside. It has elegant decor throughout and some thoughfully chosen local art and photography as well as some statement pieces.
On arrival at 4 Miller Bridge you access the appartment via an external staircase into the entrance hall. This has a handy coat and boot cupboard with plenty of space for the muddy boots you'll no doubt accumulate over the course of your Lake District adventures!
Through here you enter the large airy living area, it's an open plan room incorporating the dining area and the kitchen around the corner. This is a beautiful spacious room with huge windows overlooking the house's gorgeous grounds, Ambleside itself and the fells beyond. Benefiting from beautiful light decor, a large comfy sofa, recliner armchair, an electric fire and a large television with Freeview and a Blue-Ray player. It really is a delightful space to while away time. The owners have thoughtfully left a range of DVDs and books as well as a stereo to keep you occupied. The large wooden dining table also benefits from a window overlooking the grounds, perfect for enjoying your breakfast while watching the visiting bird and wildlife.
The modern, well equipped kitchen has been thoughfully designed with cream units, a beautiful slate floor and everything you might need during your stay. It has a fan oven, gas hobs, a microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. Making the best use of space it also has a kitchen trolley which you can move around making for more sociable food preparation or just letting you enjoy the view while chopping the veggies! There's also a nespresso coffee machine should you enjoy a luxurious morning cuppa (please remember to bring pods).
The doorway from the living area leads through to a hallway off which you access the beautiful king size bedroom. It has a large wooden bedstead, a dresser, built-in windows and two lovely windows letting the light just flood in. There's also another television with DVD player here in the bedroom. The spacious bathroom is just accross the hall. This is a lovely modern room with fresh decor and an over-bath shower with drencher head, perfect for soaking away aching muscles. There is also a washer/dryer located in a cupboard from this main hallway should you require.
Outside the property there is a balcony area with dining table overloking the rolling lawn and Ambelside in the distance over the River Rothay. It's a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine while the sun goes down lighting up the fellsides.
