A brilliant apartment with space for all the family, including your beloved dog, adventure days away at Derwentwater before getting cosy back at home.

Would a comfortable apartment with great walking opportunities and the lovely market town of Keswick all on the doorstep suit your Lake District holiday requirements? Well if so, this could be the perfect holiday apartment for you. Well placed on the edge of town with views to the fells and the much-loved railway path into town running right alongside it, this property is an ideal base for a couple or family of four to explore the area. It boasts a fresh, modern interior, easily accessible ground floor accommodation and its own designated parking spaces for two cars!

Keswick is a dream location for visitors to the Lake District. This vibrant little market town is situated on beautiful Derwentwater and surrounded by iconic fells on all sides. Indeed, right from the door, guests could walk over the River Greta, up Latrigg and on to mighty Skiddaw which stands guard over the town. There are plenty of other outdoor opportunities at your fingertips too. There is an army of outdoor instructors ready to help you find your wilder side whether you'd like to try climbing, kayaking, ghyll scrambling or mountain biking. Alternatively, if you'd rather have a gentler approach to the great outdoors why not catch one of the lovely Derwentwater Launches from which to take in the scenery?

The town itself has plenty to offer visitors from great eateries and independent shops to cultural delights such as award-winning museums, a lovely art deco cinema and the beautifully situated Theatre by the Lake. Families are well catered for with a fun leisure pool, an excellent play park and indoor climbing and caving centres nearby. All of this within a 20-minute walk from the door. So whatever kind of Lake District break you'd like to have be it adventurous and energetic or culture filled and relaxing, this apartment fits the bill.

Inside this ground-floor apartment is a fresh, modern space with two comfortable bedrooms ideal for a family or couple wanting to make the most of this area. Well positioned for an easy potter in to town or for the countless walking opportunities surrounding it.

On arrival at the property guests enter straight into a porch with coat hooks then on into the open plan dining and kitchen area. It's a light open space with wooden floors and modern decor which gives a warm welcoming feel as you enter. The compact kitchen is well equipped with a built-in fan oven, five gas hobs and a microwave. There's also a washing machine and fridge/freezer along with all the crockery and cookware you are likely to need for your stay. For mealtimes, there is a wooden dining table for four and along the main corridor from the open plan space there are books and games to entertain you during your stay.

To the right of the dining area is the living room. It's a warm and spacious room with two brown leather sofas for curling up around the gas effect stove, taking in a film on the television or just taking in the views from the large windows. The TV has Freeview and there is a Blu-Ray disc player too. As with the rest of the apartment the living room has well-chosen local art adorning the walls for decor.

Next along the corridor is the cosy bunk room, an ideal holiday den for children with its own built-in wardrobe. Onwards to the beautiful master bedroom. This stylish space has a king-size wooden bedframe and matching large wardrobe and dressing table. The owners have designed this space with a subtle modern palette of colours making the most of the space and lovely large bay window. The family bathroom is spacious, with a WC, sink, bath and separate shower cubicle.

Outside the apartment has designated parking for two cars within the shared parking area at the back of the property. Guests also have a little gravelled area to the front with a bench to sit out on sunny evenings.

We loved our stay at 3 Ridgemont. Although it was an apartment it felt very spacious. The facilities were all great. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Location was great, right out the front door you are on the K2T trail which can either take you into town which takes about 10 minutes or Threlkeld. It was perfect for riding wiRead moreth our young daughter and walking the dog. Although you are on the main road we heard minimal noise. We would definitely stay again. Hide

This is a good base for exploring the north end of the lakes. You can walk safely into Keswick along the K2T trail. I have made some suggestions to the owner about maintenance and cleanliness to make this a really nice stay.

Lovely ground floor apartment, large size rooms well equipped kitchen everything very clean. Furniture is a little dated and road noise is obvious during the day but fine at night. All in all a comfortable stay and right beside the old railway line for cycling/walking you dont have to take the car out again.
