Nestled at the foot of Blencathra, 3 The Croft sleeps five people (with the option of a further two) and provides views of the dramatic Lakeland landscape. The cottage overlooks the Helvellyn range and a peaceful grazing field for hens and ponies to the front. The situation of the cottage is perfect for those who love a challenge, with three major mountain ranges (Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn) accessible from the doorstep. For those who prefer to take a more relaxed attitude towards adventure, 3 The Croft provides a comfortable, light and airy abode in which to settle down with a good book or to watch the ‘weather’ pass by outside.
The cottage is modern and minimalist in its décor, but it lacks none of the comfort or facilities that constitute an ideal holiday residence. There are two cosy living rooms; one with views towards the Helvellyn range with a functioning coal/wood fire and a second that is heated by a wood burning stove and forms part of the open plan kitchen and dining room. The latter overlooks the garden and has views of Blease Fell and Gatesgill Fell, as well as being the social hub of the cottage.
Keswick, a jewel in the northern Lake District's crown situated on the shores of the incredibly picturesque Derwentwater, is just a ten-minute drive or a 15-minute bus ride from the cottage. It's a vibrant market town with a wonderful atmosphere where you can indulge your wild side with any number of adventurous outdoor activities or pamper your taste buds with a huge range of eateries offering great local food and Cumbrian real ales.
