General Description

26 Blencathra Street is a spacious and comfortable end of terrace house sleeping eight people in the heart of Keswick. Built in local stone and benefitting from many traditional features it has four well-appointed bedrooms, three of which are en-suite, and there is plenty of space for your party to spread out in comfort. The decor is light and airy creating a warm and welcoming home for your Keswick holiday.

On arrival at the house guests enter via a spacious porch and hallway off which you reach the main living room. This is a lovely comfortable space with deep leather sofas, a cosy armchair and a gas effect fire around which you can curl up after busy days.

Moving through to the dining room which has gorgeous wooden flooring, a large extending dining table and a wood burner set in to a large fireplace. An ideal space for long chats over dinner going over your day's adventures. The large, well equipped kitchen is in the rear of the house. It's a stylish room with a Belfast sink, light units, a range style fan oven with gas hobs, a dishwasher, built-in fridge freezer, and a breakfast bar for a morning cuppa or sociable food preparation. There's also a handy utility room with washer-dryer and more space for muddy boots.

Upstairs, the first floor is split over two landings, on the first landing is the family bathroom with a "b" shaped bath with over bath mixer shower, along with the bright and cosy twin bedroom (there is a lockable door here which can make the family bathroom an en-suite to the twin room, if required). The second landing leads to the first of the double rooms. This is a delightful light room which has an en-suite shower room with electric shower. On this landing you'll also find the upstairs living room. It's another lovely socialising space with an open fire, two big and comfy sofas, a TV with YouView and a stunning bay window with glorious views of Skiddaw and Latrigg.

The second floor houses the second double room and the beautiful master suite. The master bedroom is a spacious airy room with a king-size bed, lots of storage space and an en-suite shower room with electric shower. The second double looks to the rear of the house benefitting from morning sunshine and also has an en-suite shower room with electric shower.

Moving outside, the house has a lovely enclosed gravelled rear yard with a small shed for bike storage. The rear-facing yard also benefits from outdoor dining furniture and benches. If you're lucky enough to be visiting in the spring, the magnificent Magnolia tree provides a lovely backdrop for your sunny morning cuppa!
