We really enjoyed our stay. This was very well appointed inside with everything you could need and more. Well placed for Ullswater, Keswick and Derwent Water. Penrith is close by too with large Morrisons and petrol. In the village there is a fantastic pub just yards away serving good ale and food. The Post Office is very handy right across the road with wise range of essentials. We enjoyed playing football on the large pitch by the free car park and open air pool. The garden could have done with a BBQ (although I took a small camping one) and a bit of a tidy up but didn't spoil sitting in the blazing sunshine one bit. Thank you for another great holiday.

Was very disappointed when we arrived at the cottage. I understand the reason why we couldn't enter the cottage till 5pm because of Corvid but would expected the place to be cleaned. Couldn't use the hob because food had been spilt and burnt on it and there were no cleaning products to clean it. Placemats were mouldy. There were no toilet roll, kitchen roll or bin bags even though we were asked to make sure we used one to get rid of our rubbish. Because of not being able to get in before 5pmthe local shop was closed so after a long journey my husband had to get back into the car to drive to Penrith to get these things (if we were expect to provide our own toilet roll it should have been mentioned). Carpet on the stairs were loose and carpet tacks left on the side of the carpet (I put them on the window shelf for you before our grandchildren stood on them). The garden was unkempt and with loose bricks/stones unsafe for the children to play out (not what your photos showed) There was no bulb in the bedside lamp in the main bedroom and only ever enough hot water for one shower per day. The last thing is being given a hand towel each, no bath towels provided lucky I had pack larger towels for swimming which we used. We couldn't contact anyone as we had no signal.
