Fabulous cottage in a brilliant location. We were worried there might not have been many facilities over on this quieter side of the Lake District but Gosforth is a lovely village with pubs, shop, an excellent restaurant and cafe. Country walks, the coast and the beautiful Wastwater right on the doorstep too!

Really like this property ideal for our walks starting the short drive to Wasdale Head. If its coastal walks or just to visit, St Bees , Ravenglass just name a few are all a small drive away
Now for the property.
Kitchen .. great size , lots of kitchen utensils , really good size fridge freezer , utility room off the kitchen with a washer dryer . plus a small toilet room off that.
Living room ...again really good size, with two -two seating soft leather sofas. Small tv for the size of the room ( we did have little problem with picture on the odd occasion). Good size dining table. One tiny issue was the lack of a feature as in no fireplace or a featured wall but that`s just me being a bit too fussy.
Upstairs......Two good size double bedrooms with plenty extra pillows and blankets . Good size single as well. All bedrooms have plenty of sockets and storage .
Bathroom ... Good size with separate bath and good size shower cubicle. Plenty of hot water so no worries so ever.
On the landing there`s a night light so no fiddling about for the light switch in the middle of the night.
Outside ... a good size drive with a chain link you put can put across the drive when you go out.
A seating area with patio table .
Overall would we stay here again ? Yes we would ...
Loved our week away and the great weather certainly helped ,,

Hi Kevin, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your week, it's a lovely place for a relaxing break isn't it? And the location is ideal for heading out exploring. The good weather was an added bonus!
I hope you can come back to explore more of the Lakes soon.

The cottage was well equipped for the week we stayed. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed, the bed was comfortable and the WiFi was more than adequate as I had to work remotely for a couple of days in the week.

The property was let down somewhat by the poor level of cleanliness. The shower head was covered in black mould as was the shower cord connecting it. I pulled out an enormous clot of hair from the shower plughole. Additionally, the fridge and kitchen table were nowhere near clean. We also felt the need to give the floors a bit of a scrub. The bed linens, however, looked perfectly clean.

Admittedly, I have very high standards of cleanliness and I do not want to detract from the good location, value for money or other great aspects of the cottage but it needed a much better clean between guests.

Hi David, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and will certainly flag the issues you raised with the cleaners. It really is a wonderful spot, isn't it? Here's to more Cumbrian adventures!
