1 Cherry Trees is a welcoming semi-detached cottage in Gosforth, sleeping up to five people in three lovely bedrooms. With comfortable furnishings, bags of light and fresh decor, it's a great base for a family or small group to enjoy the area. Set in the heart of the village, it offers two pubs and a restaurant as well as coastal and mountain walks nearby.
On arrival at the property guests enter the house via the back door, which opens into the kitchen. There's a utility area to the right with a washer-dryer and a handy downstairs WC. The kitchen itself has modern units and is equipped with a large fridge freezer, microwave, fan oven with gas hob. There's a breakfast table in here as well as all the crockery and cutlery you're likely to need during your stay. The other room on the ground floor is the living-dining room. It's a delightful light, open space with wooden flooring, a dining table and chairs, two large brown leather sofas, a TV and a DVD player for which the owners have thoughtfully left some discs for your use. Alternatively you can just watch the bustle of village life from the large sash window.
Moving up the curved staircase to the first floor you'll find the three bedrooms and a family bathroom. Firstly to the master bedroom with its king-size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, which has a lovely sash window looking out to the front of the house. Secondly to the twin room (this can be made into a super-king upon request), which has a wardrobe and drawers as well as velux windows drenching the room in light. Lastly the cosy single room, which has a built-in wardrobe and a view to the front of the house. The light, spacious family bathroom is also on the first floor: this has a bath as well as a separate shower enclosure.
Moving outside, the property benefits from a gravelled driveway and back garden with an arbour-covered patio for outdoor dining. In all, 1 Cherry Trees makes a warm and comfortable base to explore this delightful side of the Lake District and its coastal villages.
