| TENTERFIELD COTTAGE

Tenterfield Cottage
Situated in the picturesque village of Hallthwaites,
Tenterfield is a spacious barn conversion with accommodation for
up to eight people.

The Punchbowl at the Green is a ten minute walk away - the pub
serves drinks only but they brew their own ale (Beckstones
Brewery); and the Georgian town of Broughton-in-Furness is just
four miles away, with a butcher, baker, grocer, a four pubs, a couple
of cafes and an old-fashioned atmosphere.

Hallthwaites is a great starting point for exploring the quieter
side of the Lake District and also Coastal Cumbria. The coast is
five miles away and benefits from brighter weather when the central
Lakes are overcast. Here there are beaches and other activities
such as horse riding at Silecroft and a water sports centre at Haverigg.
Further down the coast is the fishing village of Ravenglass which
is overlooked by Muncaster Castle.

Black Combe
Black Combe fell and Swinside stone circle are a pleasant walk
from the front door, and the Duddon valley is a couple of miles
away with unparalleled fell walking, as well as the River Duddon
which is a popular place for swimming and paddling.

Nearby Coniston Water
Coniston, with its lake and bustling centre is a fifteen minute
drive away. The coastal town of Ulverston is also about twenty minutes
away.
