Lovely cottage with good level of equipment for those who cook on holiday. Good supply of games and logs for the fire.
Lovely decked area to sit and enjoy the view. Near to Pooley bridge.
Lovely wood fired pizzas at Askham Hall.
Would have appreciated some cleaning spray for the work tops after cooking.
Would stay again

Absolutely value for money. We did not realize that this lodge was in more of a holiday house community which limited local field walking/path walking, but getting away to lakes, etc. was easy to do the hikes. We own a home in the Caribbean which we rent from time to time and would suggest better kitchen utensils, but certainly serviceable (no scissors?). Also would recommend leaving some staples like vinegar, oil, etc. with a request to renters to replace when leaving (it has worked well for us on island). Overall god experience - and guide books/comments were very helpful. Thanks
