MID TOWN FARMHOUSE
With fantastic views towards the coast and Black Combe
behind, Mid Town Farmhouse offers group accommodation on the quieter
side of the Lake District. The house faces South and profits from
the coastal sunshine that you don't always see in the central Lake
District. There is an array of walks right from the front door –
either straight up the mountainside of Black Combe or along the
flatter coastal landscape.

The house itself is in splendid order throughout. With good sized
rooms there is a feeling of space and airiness and twelve people
are easily accommodated here. With great attention to detail, the
house has a feeling of home about it.
At Silecroft, on the coast, is the Miners Arms or the Brown Cow
pub is in the village of Waberthwaite. Millstone farmshop and café
is a couple of miles away at Bootle. The nearest supermarket is
five miles away in Millom or you can get a Tesco delivery to the
door of Mid Town Farmhouse.

Muncaster Castle, Gardens & Owl Centre
Muncaster
Castle in Ravenglass
is well worth a visit, as is the Ravenglass
and Eskdale steam railway. Eskdale
(20 minutes away) is a beautiful valley and a good starting
point to tackle Scafell.
There is a watersports
centre 5 miles away at Haverigg or you can go horse-riding
along five miles of beach at Silecroft.

Coniston Water
In the opposite direction (about half an hour) is Coniston
with its lake, bustling village centre and surrounding mountains.
