HIDEAWAY BARN: HOW TO FIND US

From the North & the South

  • Leave M6 at J40 Penrith
  • Follow the A66 towards Keswick for approximately 15 miles.
  • Stay on the A66 until you have passed the turning signposted to Keswick and Windermere.
  • Turn right at the next roundabout, following the A591 to Carlisle.
  • After approx. 8 miles you will see the Castle Inn on your left hand side.
  • Turn right just before the Inn, following signs to Ireby and Uldale.
  • After 2 miles the road forks. Take the left fork, following the sign for Ireby.
  • After 1 mile you will come to a sharp right hand bend where you will see a bus shelter on your left hand side. Turn right here into Ruthwaite.
  • Follow the road to the bottom of the hamlet, and you will find the gravelled courtyard on the right hand side.
  • Hideaway Barn is in the far right hand corner of the courtyard and has parking for two cars (maximum).
