| HIDEAWAY BARN: ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation at Hideaway Barn is lovely throughout.
With stone flagged floors, wooden floor boards and antique furniture,
fine taste is combined with the comfort of modern living.

The entrance hallway is spacious with a desk for those
needing a quiet moment to catch up with work. There are books here
that you are welcome to borrow, as well as information & maps
about the surrounding area.

The kitchen is large with dishwasher, microwave, a large gas cooking
range, fridge and separate freezer. A washer-drier is located in
the utility room. There is plenty of storage and preparation space
and a table to seat six should you wish to dine in the kitchen.
A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits greets you upon
arrival. For those who like to be woken with fresh coffee, a cafetiere
is provided.

The sitting room is large with sumptuous leather sofas and a wood
burning stove. The curtains are heavy giving the room a cosy feel
in the winter. In summer, French windows look out onto the garden
with views of the fells beyond. There is TV with DVD and video player
here, as well as a mini hifi player.

The master bedroom is accessed by its own set of stairs and has
an ensuite shower room, and a walk in wardrobe area. The bed is
king sized although you could be forgiven for thinking that it looks
rather small in this large, airy room.

The other two bedrooms (one double and one twin) are located up
a second set of stairs and share a bathroom the stairs. The bathroom
is large with a free standing bath.

Outside is a large garden with a patio area. There are hundreds
of walks right from the front door although you will rarely see
a soul here, even when the rest of the Lake District is heaving.

Pets are welcome although we ask that they are absolutely not let
into the bedrooms upstairs and not left alone in the house while
you are out (due to the antique furniture). We charge an extra £15
for dogs and can allow one only at the Barn.

sitting room is in the left hand part of the barn
with windows facing to the fields and beyond
