Living in Cumbria we are blessed with many independent shops, food producers and breweries. We even have an annual festival devoted to all things edible!  Visitors to our Cockermouth holiday cottages can enjoy the services of Simon and Sarah at Hillary’s Stores in Brigham which is ideally situated for anyone holidaying in and around Cockermouth.

Hillary’s starting trading in 2006 and has an excellent reputation based on their skill and passion for traditional sausage making. As well as their own traditional Cumberland and Licolnshire they also produce an eclectic range including Smoked Bacon & Black Pudding and Ginger & Spring Onion.

Simon and Sarah have started offering welcome packs for holiday cottages – why not ring ahead and order one to collect on your way to your destination, just what you need after a long journey to your holiday cottage. Also available are made to order barbeque packs with all manner of meats from Rob’s Meats in Keswick - great for our Keswick cottages.
