SAN GING: THINGS
TO DO
Keswick is located in the Northern Lake District,
16 miles West of Penrith and 30 miles South of Carlisle. The town
is situated at the foot of the Skiddaw mountain range and at the
Northern end of Derwentwater, the widest lake in the Lake District.

The town attracts a wide range of visitors who enjoy the beauty
and tranquility of the area. There are variety of shops, restaurants,
cafes and galleries, a cinema, leisure centre, museum and famous
theatre. There are also some stunning parks, a nearby golf course
and the nearby lake where you can hire rowing boats or take the
launch.
Keswick is a haven for walkers who visit the beautiful town as
a base for some of the best and most famous walks in England. Most
visitors travel down Borrowdale Valley which is the most direct
route to ascend Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England.

Keswick is suitable for the whole family - there are activities
for children, for those who enjoy sports and for those who just
want to relax. You can wander around the town looking round the
shops or a short drive will take you to nearby LAkeland villages,
valleys and passes.
