Crag Lea

Situated in the Borrowdale valley, in the pretty village of Grange, Crag Lea holiday cottage offers comfortable self catering accommodation for up to 6 people.

This detached house has stunning views of the Lake District mountains from every window and a garden that is the perfect place to relax in after a day on the fells. Grange village boasts two tearooms and two churches. The Borrowdale Gates Hotel has a bar which is open to non-residents and there are plenty of pubs in the neighbouring villages. The nearest is the Borrowdale Hotel, a few minutes along the road towards Keswick or the Riverside Bar in the Scafell Hotel in Rosthwaite.

Rosthwaite has a delightful tea room called The Flock Inn which also serves as the village shop. Borrowdale is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks – either on the mountain tops or along the bottom of the valley.

The house is also only 10 minutes drive from all the facilities of the bustling market town of Keswick, with its unsurpassed range of outdoor shops and many pubs, restaurants and cafés. By day, Keswick is the ideal starting point for walkers and climbers, as well as those who want to potter around the shops or take a ride on the steam launch on Derwentwater. By night there is a cinema, or the famous Theatre by the Lake, which puts on plays, shows and concerts all year round.
