Booking Information

We take full week bookings (Friday to Friday) throughout the year. Weekend bookings are £370 (three nights) in the off-peak season (end Oct to Easter). We offer a 10% discount for couples who are just using one bedroom.

We will hold provisional telephone bookings for a few days and confirm bookings on receipt of a deposit (as shown on the tariff sheet). Payment in full is to be made six weeks prior to arrival by cheque made payable to Sally Ltd (please send cheques to Sally Fielding at Rivendell, Bassenthwaite, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 4QP).

Guests are asked to vacate the cottage by 11am on the day of departure and not to arrive before 4pm to allow for additional cleaning and maintenance. However, we do expect our guests to leave the cottage in a clean and orderly condition!

Electricity, oil and bedlinen are included in the price. You need to bring your own towels. A cot & high chair is available upon request.

A starter pack of logs is provided for each fire (dining room, sitting room and kitchen). Additional logs can be purchsed from the owners who live next door or from the garage in Holmrook.

I'm afraid we cannot take pets at High House.

The cottage operates a no smoking policy.
