With so much to see and do close by, including handfuls of fells to climb, leisurely cruises on Derwentwater and attractions for rainy days, this bolthole is perfectly located for a getaway in the Lake District National Park.

This welcoming apartment is in the pretty market town of Keswick. It’s a fabulous holiday home for keen walkers; pull on your hiking boots and head for Skiddaw and Blencathra (both within 10 miles) or enjoy a leisurely stroll around the shores of Derwentwater (0.5 miles). The apartment sleeps three guests, making it the perfect romantic bolthole or base for a small family. Set on the third floor, the apartment has far-reaching views of the surrounding fells, inspiring you to get outdoors and explore.

Climb the stairs and enter the bright and airy holiday home. Decorated in neutral tones with subtle lighting, the property has a feeling of calm and tranquillity. Get cosy on the comfortable sofa in the lounge/diner, to watch the Smart TV or play a game on the PlayStation. Alternatively, sit back after a long walk and admire the stunning views from the window. When it’s time to say goodnight, retire to the relaxing king-size bedroom which looks out over the surrounding fells or the cosy single bedroom. There is no outdoor space at this property, however, Hope Park is just 100 metres away and is a lovely spot to enjoy a pre-breakfast stroll amongst the flowers.

After pottering around the vibrant town centre, wander down to Derwentwater. Here, you can join the 10-mile circular route that circumnavigates the lake or board the Keswick Launch to majestically glide across the water. Hop on and off at the various jetties, to explore the lakeside villages or share a picnic on one of the pebble beaches. For jaw-dropping views, head to Latrigg Fell (2 miles). Located high above the northern edge of the town, you’ll be able to look out across the whole of the Vale of Derwent towards some of the Lake District’s most iconic landmarks.

Everything there that we needed and superb location. Entrance obviously does not give the best first impression but once in the flat it is ideal.

Clean, comfortable cottage, perfectly located in the centre of Keswick. Beware if you are relying on the 2nd bedroom as it is tiny and might not be suitable if you're claustrophobic. The lounge and main bedroom are both large and spacious.

We had a mixed stay at this property, we have a 6 month baby and would not reccomend to this property to anybody in a similar position. The apartment itself is comfortable and a nice size for us, however, the location whilst convenient, in proximity to the town centre is close to a very noisy bar which had live music on several nights. A comfortable, well equipped apartment within walking distance of the town and lake. No parking space at the property so unloading and loading, then carrying stuff up 5 flights of stairs is a bit of a pain but a permit is provided for the car park across the road. The bar across the road from the main bedroom can be noisy with music on some nights Read moreuntil around 10:30pm but not every night. The apartment is spotless & well equipped , being right on the edge of town is a bonus especially during bad weather ( and we had some ) good tv reception & PlayStation , although the latter was not used. Its location is perfect, close to both the shops and the lake, plus the views through the windows are wonderful. The wifi and tv are good quality, perfect for streaming. 2nd time weve stayed at Lake Road. As a couple with one young child it suits us down to the ground. The flat is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The location is ideal with all amenities close by and only 10 mins walk from the lake. Having a parking permit for the central car park over the road makes things very easy. Ideally located flat, you won't find better! Spacious bedroom and lounge, with very comfortable bed and sofa. Nice big TV and great views. Lovely apartment, very comfortable , everything you need for a relaxing stay . Apartment is on the top floor so could be a problem for people with walking difficulties otherwise would highly recommend.

Our second visit to this apartment and another wonderful stay. So cosy and comfortable with everything you need at hand. Views to die for from living room, bedroom and kitchen. It really is a home from home. Don't even mind the climb to the top floor. Hope to return again.

We had a lovely stay in the actual property, but outside leading up to the front door entrance, was grim all floors leading up to it were also not very inviting. I would have appreciated access to a broom and vacuum. The books, PlayStation, and games were great thank you. We would consider it again if younger but the stairs were tough. Great location, great apt, ignoring the stairs (after long day hiking etc) the apt is great. Fantastic views, living room has everything you need and very comfy. Bedroom, lots of space and very comfy bed. Well equipped kitchen. We would 100% stay here again.
